How to turn your lyrics into a song with AI

Step 1: Label the structure

Section labels in square brackets tell the model where the verse, chorus, and bridge are. Without them, it has to guess, and choruses often end up sung like verses.

Step 2: Make lines singable

Lines that read well do not always sing well. A few habits help the melody land:

• Keep lines in a section roughly the same length.
• Repeat the chorus word for word each time; repetition is what makes it a chorus.
• Avoid very long lines. Split them in two.
• Put the strongest word or rhyme at the end of the line.

Step 3: Describe the music in the style field

In Grok Music, switch to Advanced mode. Paste the lyrics into the Lyrics field, add a title, and describe only the sound in the Style & arrangement field. Do not put instructions like "make the chorus louder" into the lyrics; they may be sung.
